Western Boone feasts on Hot Dogs

DOVER - Western Boone almost had a bad case of Déjà vu Friday night when it hosted the Frankfort Hot Dogs. The game closely followed the Stars' game with North Putnam last Saturday when they had a lead for almost the entire game, and then let the Cougars back into the game late, and eventually lost in double overtime. The difference Friday was the Stars held off Frankfort to win the game 68-62. Western Boone led by as many as 14 points early in the fourth quarter before Frankfort stormed back to cut the lead to three points. Right after they cut the lead to three points, the Hot Dogs stole the inbound pass and had an open look at a game-tying three-pointer, but came up short and the Stars went the other way and hit both free-throws to extend their lead back to five.
